The Phoenix Marie lawsuit centres on an adult film star by the name Melissa Hutchison known by her stage name Phoenix Marie. In the lawsuit, Marie accuses her production company specifically director Danny D of what she calls coercion and defamation.

On this one, Phoenix alleges that she took it upon herself to adequately counsel a fellow adult film star by the name Zaawaadi before proceeding to take part in acting an adult anal sex scene.
She claims that she expressed a lot of concern over the star by the name Zaawaadi’s over consumption of anti-diarrheal medication taken before the filming of such scenes. Noticing this, Phoenix claims that she intervened by giving Zaawaadi two natural probiotic pills and also two pills of natural laxative to combat the looming effects of overdosing on anti-diarrheal medication.

During the filming session, Zaawaadi experienced a serious medical emergency. Seeing this, Phoenix tried to intervene given that she had adequate experience and background at medical emergencies but the situation escalated resulting in Zaawaadi shaking vigorously despite having not taken any other medication apart from the four pills given to her by Phoenix Marie.
According to Phoenix, this situation was so dire and needing of intervention but that is not her director saw it. Phoenix alleges that her director delayed to call for help despite seeing a visibly dire case that needed attention. Her director took more than one hour before calling for help to assist the ailing cast crew.
As if that was not bad enough, her director asked to continue filming the sex scene despite Zaawaadi a cast member being critically ill and fighting for her life in hospital.
